Strategic Product & UX Advisor for leaders making expensive product decisions
Product and UX critique for leaders making costly decisions.
Advisory for founders, CEOs, and product leaders who need a senior product and UX sounding board. I review decisions, critique product logic, sharpen tradeoffs, and write memos, without joining your team cadence or owning execution.
Where this is most useful
- Founders and CEOs who want a senior product/UX critic without adding management overhead
- Product leaders who need an external professor-style critique of logic, rationale, and tradeoffs
- Teams that need decision quality more than execution ownership
Ways I stay involved
Billed monthly upfront. A response window confirms the next action or meeting; substantive review is the actual critique or decision memo. Advisory provides access and judgment, not daily on-call execution.
Light Advisory
Two short scheduled syncs per month and bounded async review for selected founder or product decisions. Substantive feedback within 3 business days.
Core Advisory
Weekly decision support, async critique, and short memos where the work needs synthesis. Substantive feedback within 2 business days.
Embedded Advisory
Up to two planned syncs per week, selected Slack or email decision threads, and coaching for product or UX leads. Same-business-day acknowledgement in agreed hours; substantive feedback within 1 business day.
What changes the level of involvement
- Whether you need two monthly decisions, a weekly decision rhythm, or selected embedded access during a priority phase
- How much written critique, memo work, and artifact review is needed between syncs
- Whether coaching a product or UX lead is part of the advisory relationship
- Whether the work remains advice and challenge or is beginning to require delegated operating ownership
Engagement boundary
Embedded Advisory means embedded access, not embedded ownership. I can challenge decisions, coach leads, review work, and participate in selected decision threads; I do not run the team cadence, manage people, own the roadmap, or become the approver of record.
Engagement shape
Not for
- Daily Slack availability or on-call execution support
- Owning team rituals, cadence, or people management
- Design production or staff augmentation
Next step
If advisory starts turning into operating ownership, the cleaner scope is Fractional Product & UX Leadership.
