How does this differ from hiring a full-time Head of UX?
You get senior leadership without recruiting, visa overhead, or a long ramp. I operate as an embedded operator: shaping priorities, defining standards, and keeping execution coherent. It’s a fraction of the fully-loaded cost of a senior hire, scaled to the level of involvement you actually need.
What determines the monthly rate?
The level of involvement and meeting cadence. Light = mostly async with occasional syncs. Core = weekly leadership + async. Deep = multiple syncs per week + coaching and tighter delivery governance. We define this in a short scoping call and lock the terms in writing.
Can we pause the engagement if needed?
Yes. Provide 2 weeks notice and we can pause. You won’t be charged during the pause period.
What if we already have a designer?
Perfect. I mentor them, unblock them, and enforce a quality bar. This isn’t about replacing your team—it’s about giving them direction, standards, and a delivery system that prevents drift.
Do you work with offshore dev teams?
Yes. Distributed teams are where execution systems matter most. I reduce re-explanations and drift by tightening handoff protocol, acceptance criteria, and the cadence between product/design/dev.
What's the minimum commitment?
3 months. That’s the minimum time required to install cadence, make workflow changes stick, and see measurable improvement in shipping reliability.
